One of the cornerstones of the Houston Astros rebuilding process and World Series championship team, second baseman Jose Altuve signed a 5 year contract extension with the team.

The $151 million extension is the biggest in club history, which would begin in 2020, the end of Altuve’s current contract.
Altuve had his best season in 2017, hitting a MLB best .
