The Houston Astros have called up Colin Moran from AAA Fresno, according to Peter Gammons (ESPN).
Colin Moran, 23, hit .288 with a .747 OPS in 125 at-bats with the Fresno Grizzlies this season.
A former 6th overall pick in the 2013 MLB Draft, Moran’s best tool is his hit tool, evidenced by his .299 career batting average. Moran’s never been much of a power guy, with last year’s nine home runs (in 96 games) being his highest single-season mark. His glove is average at third and he’s not the fastest of runners either (read underratedly slow).
