The Lancaster JetHawks clinched a playoff berth over the weekend as they downed Lake Elsinore in typical JetHawk fashion. The high-A affiliate of the Houston Astros has won 12 of their last 14 games in their charge towards repeating as the California League Champions in 2015.
The hard-hitting Lancaster ball club punched their ticket to the postseason in a very appropriate way on Saturday night, by slugging its way to a 16-4 victory. The usual suspects came to play led by a J.D. Davis homer and four hits from #1 ranked Astros prospect, Alex Bregman.
