On paper, considering additional depth, FanGraphs currently ranks this starting staff as the 15th-best in baseball. That projection feels accurate; however, I believe the potential could be slightly greater than some anticipate.
Wesneski, who joined the Astros from the Cubs in December as part of the Kyle Tucker trade, has the potential to add significant depth to Houston’s pitching staff this year. Whether as a starter or a reliever, it doesn’t make a difference.
