Before a sellout crowd at Minute Maid Park on a Tuesday night, one of this generation’s best pitchers, Zack Greinke, made his debut with the Houston Astros. Although the results tonight were below his normal standards, he managed to get the win, allowing seven hits and five runs in six innings pitched. For the most part he looked sharp and was in control, but was victimized by a three run Rasiel Tapia home run in the sixth inning.
Greinke looked very impressive in the first inning especially. Here’s a look.
Luckily Greinke was supported by a relentless Astros offense that scored runs in every inning except the first and eighth.
