Gonzalez hurt on tag

HOUSTON -- Astros shortstop Marwin Gonzalez was removed from Tuesday's game at Minute Maid Park against the A's with a left elbow and wrist contusion after the first inning.

Oakland center fielder Dustin Fowler attempted to steal second base in the first, and Gonzalez's left arm was caught by the bottom of Fowler's cleats on the tag play when Astros catcher Max Stassi fired in a blazing throw to record the out at second base.
