George Springer’s two-week checkup shows no setbacks

George Springer's health The second-year outfielder is arguably the Astros' emotional leader, and you can tell how much they've missed him since he went down with a fractured wrist. Getting Springer back healthy and contributing will go a long way toward their second-half chances.

Astros outfielder George Springer had his two-week exam on his fractured right wrist Thursday, and he remains optimistic that he’ll be ready to resume baseball activities after his next exam in four weeks.

Springer suffered the injury on July 1 when he was drilled on the wrist by the Royals’ Edinson Volquez.
