George Springer is the latest Houston star to experience bad injury luck

Fresh off a sweep of the defending AL champion Royals and with the league’s best record, the Astros should be riding high heading into their long road trip.

Instead, they’re trying to come to grips with losing George Springer, the second-year outfielder who’s among their emotional leaders and one of the game’s most exciting young players, to a fractured right wrist. The injury is expected to sideline him at least six weeks.

Unfortunately for Houston fans, this is a road they’ve been down numerous times in the past, as Houston stars have been felled by injuries, including some that were career-altering.
