The month of June is over, and Major League Baseball has moved into the third full month of the season. For the Houston Astros, it was a month with mixed results. After a decent May, Crush City finished June with a 15-14 record though it was their third consecutive month with a winning record (first time since 2001). Houston also scored more runs (137) in June than they did in May (116) in the same number of games (29). Not too shabby.
Of course Houston couldn’t have done this without some outstanding hitting. During the second full month of the baseball season, the Astros were lead at the plate (and in the field) by Super George Springer.
