Since the third of the Core Four went down to injury on May 27, that is, Carlos Correa, the Astros are 8-2, having taken two of three from the Cubs, sweeping the A’s in Oakland, and taking three out of four from the Mariners in Seattle. Just to be clear, that’s the Astros without George Springer, without Jose Altuve, and without Carlos Correa. I might add former All-Star Aledmys Diaz and Collin McHugh for good measure.
Just how do they do it?
It was a Thriller (cue Michael Jackson) last night. the rock solid Core Four of the bullpen, Hector Rondon, Will Harris, Ryan Pressly, and Roberto Osuna, got beaten down, as the M’s came from behind to tie the score in the ninth inning.
