CINCINNATI – Federal investigators are focused on determining what individuals beyond Cardinals scouting director Chris Correa may have been involved in accessing Astros information without authorization, a person familiar with the case said Tuesday.
Correa was fired by the Cardinals in what is the first known fallout from the FBI’s investigation into whether the team hacked the Astros computer database. The team has not disciplined any other employees.
Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred said his office has regular contact with the FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s office regarding the investigation.
