Evan Gattis thankful that he’s been healthy and productive

NEW YORK — Evan Gattis homered for a second consecutive game Wednesday, taking Michael Pineda deep in the top of the second inning for his 21st of the season and a 1-0 Astros lead over the Yankees.

For Gattis, Wednesday marked his 121st game, easily a career-high already. The most games he played in his first two big league seasons was 108, last year with the Braves.

The slugger’s aware he’s been on the field this year more than ever.

“Definitely noticed it, definitely just happy to be healthy at this point,” Gattis said.
