NEW YORK — As the Astros’ success grows, so too should interest in their executives.
It’s early yet to think that Jeff Luhnow’s sole assistant general manager, David Stearns, would want to leave or be at the top of the list for outside teams.
But with the Astros’ utilization of cutting-edge methodology so well known, it may not be long before Stearns is on the interview circuit.
“There’s several people in our organization that have GM potential, and David’s one of them,” Luhnow said. “I expect over the coming years, as we have success, they’ll get opportunities at least to interview.
