Correa adds homer to happy Bronx tale

NEW YORK -- Carlos Correa loves hitting at Yankee Stadium.

The Astros' shortstop cranked his fourth homer in as many Bronx games in the first inning of Thursday's series opener between the Astros and Yankees. Correa crushed a 2-0 pitch and sent it over the fence in right-center for an opposite-field homer.

At 107.7 mph off the bat, according to Statcast™, it was Correa's second-hardest-hit homer of the year and the hardest-hit homer off Michael Pineda in 2017. The 399-foot dinger was the third career homer for Correa against Pineda, giving the shortstop six hits in eight career at-bats against the Yankees' right-hander.
