The Indians took Collin McHugh deep three separate times and Josh James allowed a two-run home run in the ninth inning as Cleveland bested the Astros 6-3 Friday night.
Houston made Cleveland ace Corey Kluber look less than his normal stellar self as Kluber gave up seven hits, walked three and threw 98 pitches in only five innings. But, despite his struggles, Houston could only get three runs off Kluber and the Astros couldn’t put a dent in the Cleveland bullpen from the sixth inning on picking up three hits over the last four innings.
McHugh breezed through the Cleveland lineup the first time through, striking out six of the first nine Indian batters.
