ARLINGTON -- After a 17-game stint on the disabled list with a right quad strain, Astros catcher Jason Castro was activated Thursday and was in the lineup for the series finale against Texas.
Castro suffered the injury while legging out a double on Aug. 28 against Minnesota, leaving the catching duties to backups Hank Conger and Max Stassi. The Astros were 6-11 in the veteran catcher's absence.
"To be able to not contribute at all on the field and just having to watch, it's not fun for any competitive person," Castro said.
