Carlos Correa’s first-inning home run Saturday gave the Astros’ rookie shortstop a couple of additional entries in the team record book.
Correa, playing in his 92nd game of the season, tied the single-season homers record for an Astros shortstop set by Dickie Thon in 1983 with a shot to left off Rangers starter Derek Holland.
He became the third Astros rookie to hit 20 homers in a season, joining George Springer a year ago and Lance Berkman, whose 21 homers in 2000 is a record for an Astros rookie.
