Chase Utley’s not the only new addition to the Dodgers family.
Andrew Friedman’s third child and first daughter, Sadie, was born this week in the midst of negotiations to land the second baseman Utley from the Phillies.
“A little crazy,” Friedman, the Dodgers’ president of baseball operations and a Houston native, said of the last few days. “Going from two (kids) to three is intense, but it’s been great. … Everyone’s happy and healthy.”
The longtime general manager of the Tampa Bay Rays prior to the most recent offseason, Friedman doesn’t get home as often as he used to, but he’s pleased to be here when he can.
