After a long offseason and a lot of waiting, Alex Bregman and the Boston Red Sox have agreed to a three year deal worth $120 million, including opt-outs after each season. This news comes after Bregman narrowed down his teams earlier this week to the Sox, Tigers, Cubs and Blue Jays. A cornerstone of the Astros since joining the league in 2016, Bregman is now another star gone from the Astros 2017 squad, leaving just Altuve.
Drafted out of high school by the Red Sox in 2012 then the Astros in 2015, Bregman has become known around the league as an elite level third baseman.
