After getting knocked around all Spring, today Brandon Bielak seemed to re-discover some of the form that turned heads in the early part of the 2020 season. In five innings he allowed two runs, two hits, two walks, and got six strikeouts against a legitimate Cardinals lineup. His only mistake was a two-run homer to Dylan Carlson in the second inning.
Astros bats reverted to their otherwise frigid Spring form after a good night last night, managing only six hits and two runs. Jose Altuve struck out in each of his three at-bats. The frontline starters were 3 - 17.
