Lancaster JetHawks outfielder Bobby Boyd and catcher Garrett Stubbs were named to the Cal League All-Star team on Wednesday.
Boyd, voted on as a starter, at the time of the announcement he led the league with 26 stolen bases, ranks 3rd in hitting with a .323 average and ranks 7th with 39 runs scored. This is Boyd’s 2nd career all-star selection (NYPL, 2014).
Stubbs, the league's reserve catcher, ranks 3rd in the league with a .319 average, 2nd with a .420 OBP and 2nd with a .931 OPS. In addition he's throwing out base stealers at a 65% clip, the highest in the league.
