It felt inevitable that the Astros would only score one run and lose a close ballgame, at least based on the vibes from the first seven innings. Honestly, I thought the game was decided as soon as the Tigers scored two in the third inning. This team is 2-9 in one-run games for a reason, even if that level of futility isn’t sustainable in the long term. Except for the 2023 Padres; however, I am not here to dog on them. I am here to dog on these Astros when appropriate because they have truly stepped in it this year.
