Dallas Keuchel has picked up another major award. The Astros’ ace lefthander won the 2015 Warren Spahn Award, which is given to Major League Baseball’s best lefthander.
The award, which is named in honor of the legendary Hall of Famer from Oklahoma, is determined based on victories, strikeouts and ERA. Keuchel led the American League in 2015 with 20 victories and 232 innings. He was second in the AL in ERA with a 2.48. and tied for fifth in strikeouts with 216.
“This award means everything to me,” said Keuchel, a two-time Gold Glove winner who is also a finalist for the AL Cy Young Award.
