ARLINGTON -- Jose Altuve shot a two-run double down the third-base line to score Marwin Gonzalez and George Springer to break a seventh-inning tie and allow the Astros to break their 12-game losing streak at Globe Life Park with a 3-1 win on Wednesday night.
The seventh-inning rally against Rangers reliever Tom Wilhelmsen made a winner out of Astros starter Doug Fister (6-3), who held the Rangers to one run and seven hits in six innings. Houston has won each of Fister's last eight starts, with the veteran right-hander going 5-0 since the beginning of May.
