Astros win 4-1 take series lead, Gerrit Cole goes seven scoreless innings

With Cole on the mound, you knew that the Astros would have a great chance of winning Game 3, as long as they could score some runs. They were held scoreless in Game 1 and scored three runs in Game 2.

Jose Altuve put the Astros up early when he hit a solo homer in the top of the first inning. Josh Reddick made the score 2-0, with a leadoff homer in the second inning.

The Yankees put two runners on base in four of the seven innings that Cole pitched, but he was able to work himself out of trouble and keep the Yankees off the board.
