HOUSTON -- The Astros will host a premiere screening of "Big Dreams: The Jose Altuve Story" Thursday at the Majestic Metro theater located at 911 Preston St. in downtown Houston. The event is invitation only.
The documentary, produced by MLB Productions and narrated by award-winning actor and Houston native Dennis Quaid, tells the story of the meteoric rise of Altuve from undersized, little-known prospect to history-making All-Star.
The story follows Altuve around the globe and includes stops in Japan, Florida and his native homeland of Venezuela. In 2014, Altuve had one of the finest seasons by a second baseman in Major League history, becoming the first Astros player ever to win a batting title.
