Astros tie it in 9th, walk off in 12th vs. KC

HOUSTON -- In the 12th inning, the Astros' bats came alive as Carlos Correa's single lifted the Astros to a 4-3 walk-off win over the Royals on Saturday night at Minute Maid Park.

For the better part of a second consecutive game, Houston's offense was quite against a Kansas City pitching staff that entered Saturday carrying the worst team ERA in the Majors. In the ninth inning, the Astros caught a spark as Yuli Gurriel, who homered in the fourth inning, singled and Josh Reddick followed suit, setting the table for designated hitter Evan Gattis' sacrifice fly off Brandon Maurer to tie it at 3 and force extra frames.
