If the Astros hope to get back into the playoff hunt in a serious way, they’re going to have to be more relentless than they have been 70 games into the season. That means winning just about every series, and sweeping a few to boot.
Today the Astros took their second straight series in the rubber match against one of the weak sisters of baseball, the Chicago White Sox. They didn’t look overwhelming in these last two series, but they managed to win without the services of their HOF starter and their leading slugger.
And I don’t mean Yordan Alvarez.
