On Tuesday, the Houston Astros called up 22-year-old, third baseman, Connor Goedert from the Greeneville Astros and assigned him to the struggling Quad Cities River Bandits today, in time for him to make his debut for Quad Cities.
In his first game for the River Bandits, went 1-for-4 with an RBI and he walked once and struck out once, to help lead Quad Cities to just their third win on the year.
Goedert, the 6’2”, 190 pound, right-handed hitting, third baseman was the Houston Astros 15th round pick in the 2014 draft. Last season, Goedert spent the entire season with the Greeneville Astros in Rookie Ball.
