Another rough start for Whitley who allowed 5 runs over 3.2 innings, to include 3 HRs. He now has a 10.80 ERA this season. Fortunately the offense came to play. The Express put up 2 runs in the first on Alvarez and Tucker RBI singles. In the 2nd they scored 3 more runs on a Stubbs RBI single and Alvarez 2 run double. They added 2 more runs in the 5th on Tucker and Reed solo HRs. They got a little insurance in the 8th with a run scoring single from Mayfield.
