Dan Straily has been on a strong streak of improvement over his last several outings and looked to be in line for another before the fifth inning happened. He accomplished in the third what he couldn't in the fifth. Matt Dominguez allowed a slow dribbler up the third baseline turn into a single that allowed the runner on second to advance to third. The ball had no chance of being foul. L.J. Hoes slipped while fielding a pop-up. He caught it for the out but it gave the runner plenty of time to make it home.
