Valdez made his first AAA start last night and started really well not allowing a run through the first five innings. He struggled a bit in the 6th and gave up 3 runs before being pulled. The offense gave him a nice lead to work with though with Davis connecting on a 3 run HR in the 4th. Fresno picked up 2 more in the 5th on a Mayfield sac fly and Davis RBI single. De Goti scored on a wild pitch in the 6th to give Fresno their 6th run. The bullpen was solid tossing 3.1 scoreless innings.
