Less than 12 hours after lighting up the scoreboard with a California League record 12 RBIs in his Class A Lancaster debut, outfielder Derek Fisher was back on the team bus ready to move on as he prepared for a Sunday afternoon game against High Desert.
“It was like any other game,” said Fisher, who was the Astros’ competitive balance A round pick out of the University of Virginia last June. “It was fun to reminisce last night, but today is a new day.”
Fisher, 22, broke a 61-year-old Cal League record that was set on May 22, 1954, by Robert Rivich with 11 RBIs for Stockton.
