Last Wednesday, I gave you a breakdown of some of the main Astros prospects currently playing at high-A Lancaster. Since then, the club has gone 3-2 to retain a share of the first place lead in the California League. During that span, second baseman Jose Fernandez extended his hitting streak to 8 games, going 5 for 15 in that stretch. He’s batting .326 on the young season.
The JetHawks play in the California League – a very hitter friendly circuit – so it can be tough to measure some of the numbers that come out of the box scores.
