SEATTLE — Let it roll, baby, roll, with modesty.
The Astros aren’t getting too high on themselves as the only American League West team to be above .500, at 8-6.
Tuesday’s 6-3 win over the Mariners and the five-run eighth inning that turned it in their favor gives them a chance for a three-game sweep Tuesday and have the Astros in a position that, even at this point in the season, is unexpected.
“It’s still early in the season,” said Chad Qualls, who picked up the save Tuesday in place of Luke Gregerson, who was unavailable after pitching three days in a row.
