Any time anyone starts an analysis they must begin by acknowledging some facts. The main fact is that I was wrong. So few people are willing to do that these days. I was not necessarily wrong about the Astros, but the state of the race was definitely a mistake. This team is clearly in the AL West race and if we go with a previous post I wrote, we are within the margins of when it makes sense to make a move.
What remains true about this team is that they have a flawed roster. Getting one stud is not going to fundamentally change those flaws.
