A familiar face in the Astros dugout was in need of replacement this offseason. Head athletic trainer Nate Lucero was not retained by the Astros this offseason. Former Pittsburgh Pirates Assistant Athletic Trainer Jeremiah Randall will replace Luceron.
Randall has spent three seasons with the Pirates with the title of major league rehab coordinator and physical therapist. In 2014, the Pirates athletic training staff was voted Major League Athletic Training Staff of the Year by member of the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society.
Jeremiah received his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree in 2009 from the University of Miami (FL).
