Do I smell a slump?
The Astros went into this game 19-7 since June 19th. That with bullpen days, Jake Bloss and Spencer Arreghetti as starters instead of the likes of Justin Verlander, Cristian Javier, and Luis Garcia, etc., etc. Not to mention All Star five-tool outfielder Kyle Tucker riding the pine with a “contusion.”
For how long can the Astros continue to dominate with so many holes in their rotation and lineup?
They didn’t make it through an Arreghetti start today against the last place Oakland As. But it wouldn’t have mattered if the Astros had Nolan Ryan pitching.
