Astros expect sell-out crowds for Game 3 and potential Game 4

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Astros expect Game 3 of the Division Series on Sunday and the potential Game 4 on Monday to sell out at Minute Maid Park.

“We’re going to be sold out,” Astros president Reid Ryan said before Game 1 of the best-of-five series against the Royals at Kauffman Stadium. “We’re going to have 42,000-plus for every game. We’ve already gone through our standing-room-only (tickets). They sold out in like an hour (Wednesday).”

The Astros will wait until at least Friday to announce who will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before Game 3, which will be the first playoff game at Minute Maid Park since Game 4 of the 2005 World Series.
