Houston Astros third baseman prospect Colin Moran was called up earlier this month. The Major Leagues haven't been kind to young Colin so far. Entering Friday's game he was 0-for-12 with one walk and six strikeouts. But, Moran finally broke through in last night's game.
Moran went 2-for-4 with two RBIs in Friday's game against the Angels. In the fifth inning, Moran picked up his first major league hit. He flipped a pitch the other way against Matt Shoemaker.
Moran followed the game plan in the ninth inning, this time, the bases were loaded with Astros which resulted in two runners scoring on the play.
