NEW YORK — A pair of coaches who worked for New York teams directly before joining the Astros last offseason, hitting coach Dave Hudgens and bench coach Trey Hillman, are enjoying their return trips.
“Just the stage that you’re on in New York City and the electricity is always nice,” said Hillman, who had two stints with the Yankees, the most recent as a special assistant last year.
“The fact that I’ve got friends from this organization, from the 14 different years, a lot of the same people are still around, and it makes you want to beat ‘em even more.
