The Astros claimed righthander Danny Reynolds off waivers on Wednesday, five days after the Dodgers designated him for assignment.
Reynolds spent his first six seasons in the Angels minor-league system before being claimed by the Dodgers on Dec. 7.
He was drafted by the Angels in the 6th round in 2009. In 2015, Reynolds tossed 43.1 innings in 43 games, struck out 50 batters and recorded 10 saves for Class AA Arkansas, the Angels affiliate.
Adding Reynolds takes up a spot on the 40-man roster, which now stands at 38.
