After the 16-7 win last night, Robert Murray sent a shocking tweet out. According to his source, the Astros were calling up J.D. Davis. This came as quite a shock with A.J. Reed recently being called up. Reed struggles in his brief stint with the Astros, going hitless in six at-bats.
The Astros are not giving up on Reed. They just wanted some more right-handed pop in the lineup with Evan Gattis possibly having a concussion. As someone who followed Davis for the past few years, it’s good to see him called up.
