The Astros will open the 2016 season on April 4 in New York against the Yankees, the team announced today.
The home opner will be April 11 against the Kansas City Royals.
The Astros are matched with the NL Central for interleague play, which means the Cardinals and Cubs will come to Houston. St. Louis is at Minute Maid on Aug. 16-17, and the Cubs come to town on Sept. 9-11. The Cincinnati Reds will be in Houston June 17-19. The Pirates don’t make it to Minute Maid but the Astros will visit Pittsburgh Aug. 22-24. Houston is also at St.
