Have you ever seen a basketball game when one team comes back from 20 points down to tie the game in fourth quarter only to run out of gas and lose by 10?
It’s been an incredible June-July run for the walking-wounded Astros, but regression, as indicated by this recent three-game skid, was probably inevitable. Midnight appears to have struck for Cinderella-Ronel Blanco, and only Astros fanboys expected much from last night’s and tonight’s losing pitchers, Spencer Arrighetti and Jake Bloss. And in the last two games, the Kyle Tucker-less lineup has managed only two runs.
The game started inauspiciously for the Astros.
