Friday’s game was about bad vibes eventually turning into good vibes. Saturday’s game, however, started with bad vibes and never really improved from there. Pitching depth,...wait, the lack of quality pitching depth, has been the Astros’ Achilles heel in 2024. Yes, the lineup is disappearing at times, especially with runners in scoring position. The backend of the bullpen has blown too many games already and it is only May 11. That is all well-documented at this point. But consistently positive results from the rotation have eluded this club all season. It is also a key reason this club was 14-24 entering the second game of this weekend series against the Tigers.
