A 4-1 Astros lead wasn’t enough against the Angels on Sunday night at Minute Maid Park. Former Astro Lusi Valbuena had the key double that broke open the game for the Halos in a much-needed 7-5 win for Los Angeles.
The Angels move to 4 1⁄2 games behind the Twins in the Wild Card and the Astros dropped to 2 1⁄2 games behind the Indians for the top record in AL’s best record.
A two-run home run by Alex Bergman and a two-run double by Even Gattis put the Astros up early 4-1 in the third inning.
