The Angels touch down in Houston after an abysmal week of baseball where they went 2-5 and dropped their third straight series. The year as a whole has been rough for the team as they currently sit in fifth place in the division and don’t look to be rising quickly any time soon.
The Angels entered the season with some small hopes of possibly competing in a year with expanded playoffs. They had made a big move in the offseason to bring World Series champion third baseman Anthony Rendon into the fold and two-way phenom Shohei Ohtani looked ready to return to the mound for the halos.
