Per the Oakland A's official Twitter account, the Athletics will receive two notable prospects in the deal:
#Athletics trade LHP Scott Kazmir to Houston for RHP Daniel Mengden and C Jacob Nottingham; recall RHP Arnold Leon

Kazmir has been stellar all season long for an inconsistent A's squad, going 5-5 with a sterling 2.38 ERA and 1.09 WHIP. As for the A's, Jacob Nottingham was considered by the Astros to be a sleeper prospect with starting potential in the Majors. Daniel Mengden provides solid arm strength and an effective sinker/slider combo.
