October is here and with it comes MLB postseason play. The New York Yankees and the Houston Astros play at 8:05 p.m. (ET) on ESPN in a do-or-die game. The Yankees have home field, but will they come out on top? Here's our preview and prediction.
What's At Stake:
Everything. The winner of this game advances to the division series, while the loser's season ends.
Who's On The Mound:
The Astros trout out ace Dallas Keuchel, while the Yankees have Masahiro Tanaka. Keuchel is 20-8 this season, with a 2.48 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP. He's one of the best pitchers in the MLB. Tanaka is no slouch either, posting a 12-7 record with a 3.51 ERA and .99 WHIP. Keuchel has the lowest WHIP in the AL, a spot Tanaka would hold if he qualified.

Prediction: Astros Win 4-1
The Astros have the better (and hotter) pitcher in Keuchel and that will go a long way. The Yankees backed into the postseason by losing six of their last seven. Keuchel should shut down the Yankees' lineup and the Astros will generate just enough offense to advance and face the Kansas City Royals.
